Mid-January continues to be a pretty slow time for film releases. This weekend proves that with very few new movies out. However, the first blockbuster of 2019 is out this weekend. What is it? Read on to find out.

Glass
Glass is the follow up to M. Night Shyamalan’s previous film’s Split and Unbreakable. It supposedly ties together the story arcs of Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson), Kevin Crumb (James McAvoy), and David Dunn (Bruce Willis). Considering it’s an M. Night Shyamalan film, expect many twists.

Destroyer
Destroyer is the story of an undercover LAPD officer who has to take out members of a gang. The film stars Nicole Kidman and Sebastian Stan. With just a few more roles, Nicole Kidman driven-films will occupy every theater in the cinema. She currently has 3 movies in theaters right now. (Aquaman, The Upside, Destroyer) Let’s go, Nicole!
