What to Watch: February 28th

Happy Leap Day weekend! It’s a day that only comes around once every four years so be sure to enjoy it! Sadly, there are not any Leap Year themed movies in theaters this weekend, but let’s take a look at what’s new.

The Invisible Man
Starring: Elisabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Aldis Hodge
This horror film follows Cecilia, a woman caught up in a dangerous abusive relationship. When her ex takes his own life, she is terrified to find that she is hunted by someone that no one else can see.
The film has debuted to critical acclaim praising the film’s subject matter and Elisabeth Moss’ lead performance.

Seberg
Starring: Kristen Stewart, Anthony Mackie, Jack O’Connell, Vince Vaughn
Inspired by the life of Jean Seberg, Kristen Stewart portrays the French New Wave actress as she becomes a target of the FBI due to her involvement with civil rights activist Hakim Jamal.

Wendy
Starring: Devin France, Yashua Mack, Gage Naquin, Gavin Naquin
Eight years after the release of Beasts of the Southern Wild, director Benh Zeitlin returns with his follow-up film, Wendy. It’s a modern fantasy drama that loosely follows the story of Peter Pan.

As you can see, this is still the slow movie season. Next weekend, things will start to pick up with at least three new movies (including one from Pixar) releasing with the start of a new month! March can’t come soon enough.
