Happy Fourth of July! I hope everyone has a great week. It’s always fun to take in a movie between a cookout and some fireworks. So what’s new at the theaters for the holiday?

Spider-Man: Far From Home
Starring: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jake Gyllenhaal, Samuel L. Jackson
There are a lot of Spider-Man movies in the world (maybe too many), but this is the ONLY one with Jake Gyllenhaal and that’s enough to get me in the theater.

Stranger Things Season 3Ok, so it’s not technically a movie, but a new season of Stranger Things is a massive entertainment event. What will happen to the kids in high school? How is Steve doing? Can Will please catch a break this season? These are all questions that I need to be answered.

Midsommar Starring: Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, Will Poulter
In movies that I certainly cannot handle, Midsommar is a horror film about a group of friends that attend something that appears to be a Swedish music festival, but is really a Pagan cult ritual! Good luck not having nightmares with that.
