What to Stream in March

March 1, 2019

Today marks the start of a new month and that means there are lots of new movie options on streaming service like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Sometimes, it can be difficult to figure out what new films these streaming services have released when a new month arrives, so today we’re going to look at what’s new to stream in March! First up, let’s look at Netflix

Netflix
March 1st

A Clockwork Orange
Apollo 13
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (Netflix Original Film)
Budapest (Netflix Original Film)
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Triple Frontier (Netflix Original Film)
Triple Frontier is about a special forces team that reunites to rob a drug lord in South America. Did I mention the cast includes Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, and Pedro Pascal? This has all the ingredients of a theatrical release, so it could be big for Netflix.

March 15th
A Separation
Burn Out (Netflix Original Film)
Dry Martina (Netflix Original Film)
Girl (Netflix Original Film)
Kung Fu Hustle
The Lives of Others

March 22nd

The Dirt (Netflix Original Film)

March 29th

The Highwaymen  (Netflix Original Film)

Now that we’ve seen what Netflix has to offer, let’s take a look at Amazon Prime’s latest releases.
Amazon Prime

March 1st

March 12th

Collette

March 22nd
Cold War (Prime Original Film)
This 3-time Oscar nominee (Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Foreign Language Film) is hauntingly beautiful and I recommend seeing it. It wasn’t in theaters very long, so Amazon Prime is the perfect opportunity to watch.

We’ve looked at Netflix and Amazon Prime for the month, but what about Hulu?
Hulu
March 1st
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
Alex & Emma
Astro Boy
Batman Begins
Black Sheep
Blast from the Past
Boomerang
The Cider House Rules
The Dark Knight
Dirty Work

Easy Rider
Edward Scissorhands
Fire in the Sky
The French Lieutenant’s Woman

March 13th
Free Solo
The big release for Hulu this month is the Oscar winner for Best Documentary, Free Solo. The film follows a professional rock climber who attempts to free solo climb El Capitan’s 900 meter rock at Yosemite National Park. Basically, it’s terrifying and incredibly dangerous.

March 14th
Shoplifters

March 15th
The Fog
Like Water For Chocolate
No Way Out
Wings of the Dove

March 16th
Tea with the Dames

That does it for the films being released on Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu this month. I hope you found something interesting to watch! If you feel like there’s not much to offer on this list, you could always just watch Music & Lyrics on repeat. Not that I’ve done that or anything.
